The Use of STACK in Teacher Education
Andreas Eichler, Universität Kassel, Didaktik der Mathematik
Based on the German Program “Qualitätsoffensive Lehrerbildung”, the use of STACK tasks in teacher education has become established at the University of Kassel. These are used selectively in lectures and accompanying exercises or in a seminar specifically focused on STACK tasks and individualized feedback. The aim of their use is to change teachers’ technology-based skills in terms of knowledge, beliefs and motivation. The talk will describe the concept of the use of STACK in teacher education, present its effect on students’ final theses and accompanying qualitative research and discuss future activities.
